ARDSLEY BOARDING KENNELS AND GROOM ROOM

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read carefully. When signing your booking form you are acknowledging and agreeing to the statements below:

Boarding:

All dogs must be inoculated and have the necessary annual booster injections against parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and kennel cough.

All dogs must be vaccinated within the last 12 months and no later than 14 days prior to arrival. A valid up-to date vaccination card must be produced upon arrival or unfortunately we will have to refuse to take your dog, as we must protect animals already in our care.

If a valid vaccination card is not produced then we reserve the right to (a) refuse to take the dog until your return with the required documents, (b) ask you to call your vets from your mobile so we can speak to them to clarify vaccination status.

Any person entering the kennels do so at their own risk, and if they are accompanied by children they must be kept under control at all times!

All belongings (such as toys, bedding, leads, collars, carriers and cages) are left at the owner’s risk. Please do not bring your food bowls as we provide these (unless specialised feeders/stands). We do have all the necessary toys, beds and bedding but you are more than welcome to bring familiar items in for your pets to help them settle.

Please label your belongings, we ask you to keep a record of items handed over and it is up to the owner to ask for them back at their end of the stay.

Dogs are boarded at the sole risk of their owners and whilst every care will be taken, the management cannot be liable for illness, injury, loss or death of any animal in their care.

Dogs from the same household can be housed together, permission is needed from the owner to house them together and separate if necessary. This is detailed in the booking form.

Dogs are walked twice per day; a third walk can be given for an extra £4 per day.

All dogs must be on a lead on arrival.

Payment

All rates are daily AM-AM, should you require PM collection your dog will be booked in to the next morning providing we have space. Full day rate is charged if collecting between 3-6PM so it is the same price to collect the next morning (based on availability)

A £60 deposit is required to secure all bookings, short stays (4 days or under must be paid in full).

Payment – cash, bank transfer or card.

No reduction offered for early collection.

No booking is secure without a deposit. An email confirmation will be sent out within 48 hours for secured bookings. If you have not paid your deposit then your booking will not have been processed.

A booking form will be emailed to you once secured with the agreed deposit/payment, this must be completed and brought with you upon arrival, this has all the information we require whilst your animal is boarding with us, as well as their vaccination card. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the correct dates have been booked and that this matches the email confirmation we have sent out.

All payments are non-refundable & non-transferable. Cancelled bookings with deposits/payments will NOT be refunded or transferred, however bookings cancelled with sufficient notice (one month+ before arrival date) may be transferred to a future booking at the managers discretion.

Any early collections must still be paid for in full.

Owners must settle their account before departure.

Food

Pet food is included within the price providing we stock it. We have Chappie and Harringtons dry food. We stock Butchers and Asda hero tins. If your dog is fed on anything else or has a specialised diet you must bring your own. Pets fed on a raw/fresh diet must be provided by the owner and portioned out into daily meals and labelled correctly. We have a deep freezer readily available for raw food. Own food should be kept in a suitable container, fully labelled with your dog(s) name and any measurements per meal.

Medication, illness & injury.

In the event of injury or illness of a dog/cat at Ardsley Boarding Kennels and Groom Room we will use the services of our own appointed vet which is Croft House owned by Abbey House Veterinary Clinic. Costs will therefore be added to the owners boarding fees at time of departure or will be billed directly from the vets. If your usual veterinary practice is within a reasonable radius and we are able to get an appointment then we in some cases we will use your preferred vet.

If your pet has any existing medical conditions this and any medication they need should be supplied with clear written instructions. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the medication lasts the duration of their stay. We advise bringing extra medication just in case. Sharps boxes must be provided for pets which require diabetic injections. If their medication runs out you agree for us to purchase further supplies on your behalf, this cost will be added to your boarding fees to be settled before departure.

All animals will be examined on arrival, any animal arriving with parasites (fleas, worms etc) will be treated and the owner will be charged for this. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any pet which, in our opinion, is showing signs of ill health.

All pets are health checked/groomed daily. If we have any concerns for an animal’s health or welfare we reserve the right to seek veterinary advice. Any concerns will be reported back to the owner.

We reserve the right to contact a veterinary surgeon should we feel necessary. All fees and charges are responsible to the owner.

Other

Cars are parked at owners risk; we do not accept responsibility for loss or damages that may occur.
